The image that'll stay with me from this Christmas? The Cherub [adorable 4 y.o. girl w. long blonde hair], wearing her new 'punchin' gloves' and laying into her new 'puncin' bag'. :) (This is something she's been asking for for MONTHS! We have Wii Sport to thank for this!)

Her second favourite present was clothes & a carry-seat for her Baby Annabell.

No one's going to put *my* youngest in a box! *g*

Also we were greatly entertained this year by Wii Fit - it's a lot of fun watching people trying to catch hula hoops (and keep them spinning) or running a race. Esp if it's my father-in-law! (His Mii is a very good likeness...) And the Cherub trying to do yoga was too cute for words!

I was going to write more, but I'm too tired now. But I had a lovely Christmas. Hope yours was great too. :)

ETA: I knew there was more... This is probably of no interest to anyone except me, but I've spent Christmas looking like a disco ball. A pretty one (w. blue tights & shoes), but I've been dazzling everyone - the sparklepires had nuthin' on me! (This was thanks to Darcy who likes to buy me clothes I would never in a million years buy myself. He's got good taste however, so I tend to go with it. There might be pictures later. Maybe.)

Sooo, everyone's freaking out about the snow storm coming 'round this weekend. I keep seeing that we're going to be getting 5-8 inches on weather.com, but I keep *hearing* that we're going to get 12. Whatever. Dad wants me to leave the car in town at the Food Lion tonight (D:) so I don't have to drive my car through the snowy icy boonies to get home, *and* he's expecting that the temperature in this area won't be higher than freezing for about a week. The car would be easier to deal with in town, obvy, 'cause I can just clean off the car and get on the highway Monday morning. But the thought of leaving it and then being stranded at the house all weekend is giving me the creeps. My family's vegan, so I need some snacks for this weekend, since I won't be going out. Suggestions? I know caffeine is going to be at the top of the list.  Cookies.  Cheesy-somethings.  OMG I JUST REALIZED THAT YULE IS MONDAY. I haven't planned anything!! Ugh ugh ugh. Plans this weekend: watching two Big Bang Theory DVDs, watching an Al Gore documentary, a little laundry, knitting some quick Christmas presents for coworkers, snacking on non-vegan snacks, downloading music onto my iPod (Have y'all heard of fanmix?), working out a little, planning things for Yule, taking naps, drinking tea, digging snow tunnels back to civilization.  Normally, I'd be having a Yule thing with friends this weekend, but because of this storm, that's noooot gonna happen.  Suck! Oooh!  Cocoa.

'Buzzcocks: The Doctor Who Special' was *fabulous*. Can I have a David Tennant for Christmas please? As the Sunday Times pointed out, there aren't many men who could play Hamlet *and* host the Buzzcocks. And do both so brilliantly.

I think lately I really read too many of those interviews with the Buffy and Angel writers/editors/artists. They really start to mess with my squee, because one wrong word leaves the impression that the person in question doesn't really get the verse the characters or whatever.

The story itself is usually much more forgiving than talk about it. Either it manages to suck me in or not.

I really hope the new Angel comics will. They seem to have good starting conditions artist and writer wise, so I'll just stop reading interviews and previews and wait for the actual thing to form an opinion.
